Iceland Aurora Photo Tours have been running since May 2010.
- Our Photo tours aim to promote Iceland as a pure, untouched photographer’s paradise. We aim to leave customers with the intentions of returning to Iceland. We try to uphold behaviour conducive to the protection of the wilderness where possible and to encourage this behaviour from guests.
- Our Photo tours aim to promote photography as a healthy and non-destructive past-time. We encourage customers to use the act of photography to learn to appreciate the natural beauty of a landscape.
Our photo tours are driven by a passion for photography.
We offer mostly photo tours and photo workshops for small groups. Our shared photo tours are designed for individual or twin travelers. Our Private photo tours are bespoke. Tours include advice and guidance regarding photography, Icelandic history and geography. Tours include transportation in comfortable 4x4 modified Jeep. Our photo tour locations include many natural wonders which amount to a great photo tour for travel photographers. Our flexible tours enable you to follow the light rather than a strict itinerary.

I have been a teacher since 2002.

Olli, is one of the best Aurora hunters in Iceland! A famous Icelander with a blue snow suit loves fishing maybe as much as photography. Born just before the 50s, Olgeir rose to fame with his photographs of Northern lights. After being displayed in New York’s Time’s square, Olgeir published his book, “Northern Lights in Iceland” in English & German, showcasing the best of his last 3 years of work. Its available in bookstores throughout Iceland and you can also pick up a copy at the Keflavik Airport bookstore before you catch your flight home.
Sigurður was born in Iceland and has spent most of his photography career in this photography paradise. During his time as a photographer he found out early on that his passion lies with photographing the beautiful landscapes and nightscapes of Iceland. One of his favorite activities is being out, chasing the northern lights and thinking of new ways to top his shots. He has won multiple awards for his work, both locally and internationally, especially for his photos of the Aurora Borealis. Sigurdur has also written a book on the subject to aid everyone in getting the perfect shots of Lady Aurora and held nightscape photography workshops in Iceland since the beginning of 2015 with great success. When the days get longer and the northern lights fade into the daylight, he turns his eyes towards the sun and the amazing midnight sun that Iceland has to offer with the golden hours that seem to stretch on forever.
Rafn is a self-educated Icelandic photographer. He is well known in Iceland for his photography and has one of the largest collections of photos from Iceland which have been published all over the world, in magazines and on the internet. Rafn has worked as a freelance photographer for more than thirty years and sells images in his own stock photography business.
