Beginner Drones

Several years ago I declared that the next big invention in photography would be a hovering tripod.  It seemed far fetched and bizarre, but when you consider that modern drones are hovering tripods with much more scope than I could have imagined.  The only reason I never got a drone in Iceland (apart from a declining salary) was that everyone else was buying them.  You don’t have to be a photographer to appreciate a flying drone.  Drones can assist with security and rescue.  Farmers in Iceland use them to round up sheep.

Random Gifts

The Crystal Hasselblad will make a surprise gift for most photo enthusiasts.  Even those who will never own a Hasselblad.

I always took a GoPro with me on most trips.  I am not an adrenaline junky, I used to set it up to do a time-lapse when I was busy with my photography.  Because it is small and lightweight, the GoPro fits into any kit bag.  These modern GoPros will even photograph Northern Lights and create a time-lapse.

I can’t count the number of times, a customer has run out of memory on a photo workshop.  Having a Portable Back-up is essential for those long trips with lots of photos.
