The Fjaðrárgljúfur river gorge is in South Iceland. Location info. Huge glacier floods have carved a zipper like gorge in the landscape while only a sliver of a snaking river continues to carve the canyon floor.
Like many of my landscape photos, I was in the river when I took this picture, wearing fishing waders. The river runs in a ‘S’ shape along the gorge. Sometimes it is possible to wade through the river.
This dramatic photo of the Fjaðrárgljúfur river canyon will look great hanging on the wall. Treat yourself to some collectible Icelandic photo art.
