I took this vertical nature photo at Jokulsarlon near Christmas in 2010. The conditions were so still and this little iceberg had a jagged crystal texture with flashed of colour. The scene made me feel so peaceful. Jokulsarlon is not necessary peaceful. There is the constant roar of the North Atlantic ocean behind me. Great chunks of glacier ice make a huge cracking noise as they break from the glacier followed by a splash & tidal wave that disturbs everything on the lake. Maybe that is why these moments of peace become more & more valuable.
