Mount Kirkjufell is one of the most iconic mountains in Iceland. The steeple shaped mountain dominates the bay in Grundarfjordur on the North side of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula.
I loved photographing Kirkjufell mountain in all seasons & all weathers. A vertical frame is rare because I wasn’t always able to include interest throughout the frame. This summer vertical seems to work with all it’s wild greens.

Mount Kirkjufell is a 463 meter tall mountain located on the north coast of Iceland in the municipality of Grundarfjörður. It is one of the most photographed landscapes in the country due to its unique, pyramid-like shape and its location near the ocean. Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall offers two tiers of waterfall cascades with a view of mount Kirkjufell in the background.
