With a beautiful glacier lagoon encircled by ice-capped mountains and glaciers, Jökulsárlón has been dubbed a “frozen paradise” for its mesmerising beauty. Photographers and nature lovers will both find the region to be ideal because it is full of icebergs of all different sizes and shapes.
Northern Lights photography at Jökulsárlón is probably the best in the world. The abstract forms of ice and amazing reflections really compliment auroras dancing in the night sky.
I took several frames across the night sky at Jökulsárlón to create this panorama photo. This is only possible when the Northern Lights are stable. The green lines in the sky over the glacier lagoon didn’t change much all evening, so I managed to take several shots along the night skyline.
This Northern Lights panorama is made of 3-4 frames, so the quality is really good as a full size print.
