I took this nature photo on the diamond beach at Jokulsarlon. The roads were slippery on the 5 hour drive & I had to run to catch the sunrise. This was the only iceberg on the beach, but it wasn’t a disappointment.
The Winter sunrise on the diamond ice beach, was dramatic. The rising sun filled the scene with warm light and the blue iceberg was a great contrast against the black sand beach.
Glacier Beach
The glacier beach can make for some excellent photo opportunities. The weather shapes the icebergs into smaller and smaller icebergs. Finding the more beautiful crystals or the ice that works with the black sand & ocean to make a story can be difficult.
