We visit the sites of the recently erupting volcanoes along Iceland's south coast. This will be a chance to see a landscape recently changed. Many areas are prohibited, but we get you close enough for some good photographs. The main sight is the Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
We drive straight out of the city and follow the national highway to to site of the recent volcanic eruptions. From nearby villages we will access some good vantage points to get some interesting pictures of the volcano.
We drive off road through rivers to get to the closest point where you can hear the thunder. Or we explore the huge waterfalls that are fed by the glacier.
The volcano will be visible for most of the trip. Quality of the tour depends on the weather and amount of volcanic activity.
